Position Objective and Responsibility

Main Position Objective:

The Business Development Coordinator (BDC) is a member of the Inside Sales Team and is responsible for the initial outreach in the funding and merchant credit card process. The BDC handles a variety of lead campaigns such as Press One, UCC Leads and Cold Calls to targeted companies/merchants. The BDC is required to exercise a high degree of discretion and initiative. The BDC supports the Sales Executives, Sales Director and will be called upon to perform many diversified lead generation activities, including updating Customer Relation Management software, updating and maintaining reports and making or answering phone calls and emails working within established department practices.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. This role is responsible to actively and efficiently qualify leads of merchants.
  2. Works according to specific instructions or established department practices, gathers data and prepares reports.
  3. Makes or takes phone calls to qualify merchants to grow the ALIANT portfolio.
  4. Works to brand ALIANT products and services.
  5. Captures intelligence and identifies immediate needs of the merchant.
  6. Is responsible to achieve a high ratio of qualified leads from interested merchants to be forward to Sales Executives.
  7. Is responsible to distribute all necessary documentation associated with qualified leads to Sales Executives.
  8. Accurately enter and maintain department records for proper reporting.
  9. Performs special projects for department employees directly related to department operations.
  10. Performs other duties as assigned by the department manager.

Performance Expectation:

$100,000.00 Funded Monthly

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  1. Work requires a high school diploma plus occupationally specific training.
  2. Work requires knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, etc.
  3. Work requires previous similar work experience of two to three years.
  4. Work requires the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. This may include editing correspondence, submitting reports, assisting with client inquiries and explaining procedures to fellow employees.
  5. A team player whose leadership skills are creative and can inspire co-workers.
  6. Work requires the ability to draft and edit the content of business documents and perform other duties requiring a comparative level of communication skill.
  7. Work requires considerable independent judgment and experience-based knowledge to establish work priorities with the department.

Physical Demands:

  1. Requires manual dexterity or fine motor skills to perform job functions.
  2. Ability to communicate orally in person and on the telephone.
  3. Extensive use of the keyboard to enter and transform data.
  4. Extensive telephone communication.

Work Environment:

Work may be fast paced at times. Requires sitting and working at a personal computer.
